America's First Responders  -  USASP is a chartered public safety association
Registered Supplier Program

The Registered Supplier Program now offers your organization three different types of opportunities to have The United States Airport and Seaport Police, the America’s Region of the International Association of Airport & Seaport Police, have your companies products and services reviewed, evaluated or (certified—coming soon) by qualified individuals. A review or evaluation we will typically have a retired US Port Police Association member who was a senior law enforcement or security director and a technical expert perform the task.  The review or evaluation is then published and distributed to all members of U.S. Airports and / or Seaports* and available on PortBizOpps.org.  RS Program PDF

Why have my product reviewed?

The airports and seaports are large purchasers of security related products and services and since 9/11 they have become the First Responders in the war against terrorism.  The Federal government recognizes this very important position and has granted billions of dollars to outfit and modernize our ports.  The mission of the IAASP is to provide information to our members.  One way we accomplish this is to utilize Association resources to better enable our members to make educated purchasing decisions.  Many of our members do not have technical or operational experts in every field available in their local department and look to the Association to help them define specifications or identify quality suppliers.  Through the Registered Supplier Program, we assist in disseminating technical, financial and operational information to airport and seaport personnel.

How is my product reviewed?

Upon receiving a request to have a product review or evaluated, an extensive questionnaire is sent to the candidate organization to be completed.  This questionnaire requires information be submitted that includes company history, brief financial data, management team information and a full description of the product to be reviewed including any user references.  This information is evaluated by the Association and if approved an appointment is arranged for one of our qualified evaluators to visit the company to perform the review.  In cooperation with our members, we have developed a comprehensive standard Review Form that will be completed by the evaluator on site.  After the onsite review is completed, the evaluator will also issue a written report on their site visit.  All of this information including the questionnaire, on site review and evaluator report is then examined by the Chief Technical Officer.  If further clarification or information is required, they will contact the supplier or the evaluator prior to releasing the Final Report that will be made available to the company and the membership after approval from your organization.

What are the cost?

To have a product review fee is $7,500 plus any expenses incurred for our evaluator, if a visit is made to your office or facility.  Eligibility requires the supplier to be Corporate   Membership ($3,500.00 annual dues).  In addition to your Corporate Membership, as a  Registered Supplier, your company can display the special Product Review Evaluation Logo sticker on your brochures.
